Bob groaned dramatically. "Oh congratulations, you're fired. Pinkslip sent, different direction and all that. So go off to whatever heaven you go to after your thousand years of service are up. Bye bye." He called out.
He absentmindedly wondered if that tactic would actually work. He vaguely recalled fairytales where the mighty guardians would get some paradise-like reward for fulfilling their mystical duty. Considering this one had been guarding the way to alleged paradise, Bob didn't consider it too great a leap of logic for the guardian to simply. . . leave.
I doubt that will happen. But hey, maybe the tin-head isn't too bright and I can still check this dumb floating tower out. Maybe find a longer rope.

Prove it to me... Give me access to your mind again, I promise I won't hurt you as long as you speak the truth.

Bob rolled his eyes, "let you play with my mind again?" He shook his head, though the guardian couldn't see it from Bob's position by the door.
"um . . . how can I put this?" He questioned with annoyance. "Screw you, Tin-head. You'll just have to take my word on it, as you're not getting in my head again."
Really, a simple "no" would most likely have been better. But then, Bob had never done things the simple way, and he wasn't about to start just because some magical guardian got in the way.

Then could you perhaps show me proof?

Proof? Bob wanted to groan with the absurdity of it. The metallic, magical guardian wanted proof that its aged master was dead so said guardian could stop guarding the way to supposed paradise? Paradise was all well and good, but it wasn't like he had a book on the . . .
"Well, that's awkward." He mumbled.
A moment later, a small leather-bound book was gently placed on the ground and slid through the doorway towards the guardian.
"There's your proof, assuming you can read. I suggest chapter five for a good starting point. Oh, and if you break that book, you buy it. The Librarians down below us don't seem keen on people bringing back damaged books."

Once the book was halfway to the Guardian, he held out his hand and levitated the book close enough to "read." He flipped the pages with his mind within seconds, reading the entire book...
So, it was really that long ago to be recorded in a history book... Thank you for your help. I apologize for attacking you.

Bob rolled his eyes. The thing was sorry for doing its job? "You wouldn't do well in my unit." he mused out loud. A moment later he spoke louder, making sure the thing could hear him. "No problemo. Now are you going to leave?" He ended hopefully. Still wishing to search the tower.

Hmm... If you wish to search this tower, you may. Just be warned that there are many ferocious creatures here AND now that I know my previous master is dead, the entrance to what most beings seek here is now eternally closed. Perhaps you'd do best to leave as well. There really is no point to this tower anymore.
The Guardian began to walk towards the way out.
If you need help leaving I'll have no problem in assisting you. It's quite a way down from here...

Bob swore silently, scrunching up his furred face in annoyance. The passageway to supposed paradise was closed, and his interest in the tower had suddenly vanished.
Now the creature was offering to help him down? Something inside Bob bridled at the thought of being helped down from the impossibly high tower. "Should have had the elf-boy bring a chopper. Or maybe a jet-pack." He muttered to himself.
"Uh, thanks but no thanks. I'll find my own way down." He called out before padding tentatively over to the precipice. "Right." He muttered, clutching his rope tightly and trying to figure the best way down. "This is gonna be fun." He growled sarcastically.
With that, he jumped off the edge and hurtled like a small furry meteor towards the city below.

As Bob fell from the tower, the Guardian followed. About halfway down the Guardian caught up with the mutated badger and kept speeding up. When the Guardian landed, the break of his fall created a crater at least the width of a large building for the diameter.
This, of course, alerted the gaurds...

Bob stared incredulously as the guardian hurtled past him, picking up speed that would most likely end with a big crater and a huge mess. "I'm going to throttle him." The small Tydorian muttered.
Even as the Guardian was creating his impromptu speed-break via hitting the ground really hard. Bob was swinging his rope and grappling hook, using his magically enhanced skills to judge the throw, he tossed it bodily at the best looking prospect of a landing site.
There was a clank as the grappling hook latched onto an open-air balcony nestled near the top of one of the highest towers in the vicinity. With a sudden, painful yank Bob's downward momentum was changed into a horrendously fast sideways swing as the hook and rope did their job, dragging him towards the building.
A quiet thump and a muttered curse was all the indication that something small and furry had impacted the side of the tower.
Far below, Bob heard the sounds of panic. Screaming and yelling ensued as people tried to comprehend what had just happened. "Guess it's not every day a metallic guardian lands in your city like a star-flung meteor." He grunted, pulling himself up towards the balcony. From there he'd contact his team and try to find a way to get out of the area before the Minervum mages got too annoyed with their newfound metallic guardian.

Even in the midst of all the chaos the Guardian created, all he did was walk forward down the street. Not bothering to take notice of all the civilians scrambling and screaming about, trying to get away from him.
Then he started to break into a run, then a dash. As he darted, wings grew at his back with the chaotic energy he manipulates and he took off into the sky in search for his lifetime goal... his purpose.
