Khordus nodded quietly as she spoke, his eyes never wavering from her own, cracking a smile as she finished, "Very good. If it serves you well, we will begin immediately." He rummaged in his coat for a moment, pulling an envelope out and putting it on the table in front of Xira's seat for when she returned to it, "Teradia has been found, and so I am sending you there. Whether you choose to take a ship there or ride down yourself is completely up to you, but I suggest you make haste. Specifications are in the envelope as to where you can find supplies as well as a tattoo artist that will brand you to our name in Rogueport. Stamarin himself will be in Teradia, so I suggest strong caution; due to his presence I must abstain from going myself, so you will be contacted once you have the appropriate information you need."
He paused, thinking about shifting but remembering the vixen in his lap. He chuckled silently at the concept, but continued, "Teradia is a peaceful city so far as we are aware, so bloodying the name of the Korin to potential allies will not be appreciated. If you must kill, do it quietly and without trace. Your objectives are prioritized in the note, but it is up to your discretion as to the order in which you follow through with them. While the Stamarians will not be openly violent for the same reasons as us, I would be hesitant to reveal your allegiances there. You are more than capable of doing this well, but be wary nonetheless. We don't really know what's in Teradia, so be cautious with both locals and foreigners. Questions?"

Turning her body toward the man upon whose lap she sat, and cocked her head slightly to the side, pushing her shoulders together to fluff up the bright white fur on her chest before opening her slender jaws ever so slightly, allowing her tongue to slip out and lick the man's hand ever so lightly, "My Lord, you ask little of me. I assure you, your task shall be finished." She turned her back to him, standing and brushing her fluffy tail below his jaw gently before leaping lithely onto the table and back into her seat where she promptly allowed the magic to leave her body and her humanoid form graced their presence once more.
The envelope on the table was enticing, and she wished very much to read the letter inside, but she couldn't help wondering what exactly the big deal was about this new city. So she asked, "What is your interest in this city? Forgive me, but I am unaware of its significance." She adjusted the bandages around her chest carefully, allowing only enough of her skin to appeal as usual, and shrugged her coat back into place slowly, flipping her hair over the large pads for a softer appearance. Her eyes locked on his and she tipped her head down, parting her lips just slightly, and speaking again, "And might I enjoy your company more properly before I leave?"

Khordus mused on what she spoke to him, taking a moment after she had finished to be sure she had nothing more to say before responding, "I assure you I am no lord, but my intentions are noble." He took a moment and paused, drinking from his glass once more now that he was able to, "Teradia represents a portion of the long lost old world that may prove vital for the Korin's success in this war. For hundreds of years it has evaded detection one way or another, and now something has unveiled it to the world's eye. This reason alone would be enough to send someone to investigate it, but I assure you that will not be the only Korin operative in the area.
"The temples of power throughout this world are all found in different continents entirely, as you may or may not know, but it has been reported that Teradia has versions of each temple within the city itself. While there are other such fire temples or earth temples throughout the world, they are all pale in comparison to the true version, which apparently has a copy now. Beyond this, this city may have been around for hundreds or even thousands of years, and the technology and archives there may prove to be far beyond anything we've ever found before. Needless to say, we'd like to find out more about it."
Pausing once more, he took another drink and returned a level gaze to her, thinking about her second question, "Besides all that, though, you wish more of my company? I'm not a particularly safe man to be around; if I walked into these streets unhidden I would doubtlessly be dead within the hour." He wasn't crossing out the idea, but he was certainly curious as to what she had in mind. Indeed, she was beautiful, and the notion of spending time with her was far from unpleasant.
