It was something one had to see to believe. Rumors, stories, folklore, and legends could always be easily heard or told. But if you chose not to believe in something told to you well that's up to you. Either believe in it or check to see if things could possibly be true. That's exactly what one woman decided to do. She decided to see something for herself after upon hearing different stories told about the same place. The thing she was going to check out was a location, a certain place of a certain building. After trekking the land for some time she found the place she was looking for. The fire temple, it was amazing. Well, fact number one is true so far. It was immensely tall. The temple stood so tall in the sky, it seemed to touch the clouds. Of course that was probably the effect of a small person standing on ground level next to such a grand design. Fabia couldn't imagine what must have been done to make such a thing.
Was it by pure magic, by the gods or by pure manual labor? She was pretty sure there is story for that as well. But to know the correct facts she'd have to do research. There should be some libraries around with papers on such a subject She'd have to find one and perhaps looks up the many other temples she had heard about. Fabia continued walking forward to the gigantic structure. She heard you have to climb quite a flight of stairs to get to the top where the entrance was. One would have to be either crazy, determined or both to want to get in the temple badly enough to walk up what would probably be thousands of stairs to get to the top. What would happen if you blew up a hole in the wall on the base? That would certainly be an interesting and quicker way inside.
Though Fabia had no means to actually leave a hole in the walls to get inside. Most people who wanted to get in probably couldn’t do that either. She walked around the structure in a circular manner. Not only was it tall but wide too as anybody in front of it would immediately know. Well she finally found the stairs that went to the tip top of the so called fire temple. The problem was what should she do now? She heard many rumors of what was inside it such as fire breathing beasts and levels made of melting walls, maze's of fire and magma rivers. Even if the temple had no such thing what would be the point of going up? This was originally a place to honor the god of fire. Perhaps treasure could be inside the temple? But why would treasure be in an ancient place of worship? The bottom floor if the temple was hollow all the way through, to her seemed most likely to hold everything that could be considered valuable.
But then again it could always go underground and not just stop at the ground level. What to do what to do? If such beasts did live in there Fabia thinks she'd be able to fight back. She believed in her strength but even she knew she was the strongest sadly enough. She stepped up to the bottom stair and wiped it of any kind of debris that may be on it. She sat down on the stair and stretched out her legs. If anybody else was here they would be able to see what was underneath her short dress. But she didn't care if anybody saw her undergarments. It was mostly due to the fact that nobody else was here. Probably some animals might live outside of the temple but humans didn't seem to come here much. Hmm nobody was here. She got an idea since this was a nice day and since it was the middle of the day she'd have a lot of free time. This place wouldn't be bad to train. She could exercise by going up and down the stairs and practice her sword play alone. Maybe when she felt like it she could take a peek inside the temple. She didn't have much interest in entering it at the moment. For now she just wanted to sit and relax after venturing out here.

Michael sat serenely, book in hand, back against a solitary tree outside of the Fire Temple. His current convoy was in a nearby village, resting and hunting down leads on a possible Korin cell in the area. Though he truly doubted there was a cell, he still had to check it out.
But his heavily armored presence had been making the villagers nervous, so for the sake of time, he'd given the search over to Sergeant Adams and had taken a walk, book in hand, his heavy plate-mail back with the convoy. Though he still carried "Fidelis", not knowing what creatures lurked near the temple.
The book he held in his hand was an aged first edition of "Stoll's Military tactics", presented to him as a birthday gift by his mother a year ago. He'd been so rapt up in his duties with the Order that he hadn't had time to read it.
Now he sat, dressed in his simple traveler clothing, enjoying the radiating heat from the nearby Fire Temple. It was about this time that he saw a young lady enter the glade, her attention was so taken by the gargantuan Temple that she didn't notice him at first, even though she neared his location before stopping to stare with wonder at the Temple.
He contemplated the young lady before him, and finally came to a decision on how he should proceed. He called out, his strong voice easily carrying the thirty or so feet between the newcomer and he. "Hail and well met, traveler. What brings you to the Fire Temple?"

It would seem that she had finally settled down. After walking for so long she felt calm. She took some deep breaths in and out. Now what will she do now? Should she start training now? Should she start training her combat skills right now? She questioned herself this. She should however she didn't want to overdo anything. She felt fine but wanted to give her muscles more time to rest before she did anything else. She made a sigh as she stared straight ahead. She decided to rest before any training.
Well she might as well prepare though. She made sure her habit , which rested on her head, was secured. She checked on the sheathed sword that was tied on her back, she then untied it and laid the longsword against the temple wall. Then began checking her shoes. After the trip she wanted to make sure everything was right, she would've done it anyways even if it wasn't a long trip. But if she was going to train she might as well made sure everything was in order. That way some screw up wouldn't happen during her session.
A look of discomfort grew on her face, perhaps it was the way she sat. She stood up only to find a pebble on the step. She found the pebble peculiar. Didn't she sweep up the step before sitting? She brushed the pebble aside and sat down again more properly. Then she spread out her legs still thinking others were not there. Things sure got boring while resting she found out quickly. To pass the time she rolled her fingers around her lap while looking at the scenery around her.
As she was doing this she heard a human voice. It caught her off guard, but she continued moving her fingers around. Well it seems like the place wasn't completely abandoned and private. Many other people knew about it as well she supposed. It still seems like a good place to train. She looked in the direction where the voice came from and saw a guy."Hello there. I'm simply enjoying the sights so far." She said sweetly as she stopped rolling her fingers and placed her hands on her lap. She was curious as to why he was here, she'd have to ask him when she could. Then again he might be curious about her presence there as well.

((Thought perhaps it might get your attention if I posted in your thread. Orsay, I'm going to say this once more, and you'll get another warning if you don't do it before replying to Ajax's next post, go back through both of these and fix your spelling, punctuation, and grammar. No one wants to sit here and try to decipher your writing while they read. Get on it. Part of writing, even on an RP site, is being able to actually write. Not just type.
Apologies to you, Ajax, for intruding.))

Michael rolled his eyes at the woman's odd behavior. He wasn't positive as to what she was attempting to do, but it didn't look like it would work very well.
He nodded in response to her answer, it was a magnificent sight, the building before them. But currently his attention was being kept by the newcomer. Michael was familiar through his own work with most of the Stamarian military uniforms, and her odd nun-like outfit didn't fit with anything he'd seen. He was equally informed as to the current Mercenary outfitting and gear through knowledge gleaned from discussions with his brother, and again her outfit didn't fit.
She was an oddity, what appeared to be some form of holy woman with a blade. He carefully placed the simple bookmark he had at his side in between the pages he had stopped on. And then closed the book with a soft thud. He stood slowly and carefully, unlimbering his lengthy body as a piece of machinery might unpack from a crate.
"Tis indeed a sight to behold, this temple." He said softly, gesturing towards the temple before them. "But still, the area around can be dangerous. Generally not suitable for lone persons to explore. May I ask why you have not come with a traveling companion?"
He stood there, by the large and gnarled tree. Wondering who this woman was. His mind calmly considering the possibility that the rumors of a Korin cell in the area could be true, and that this woman might be Korin herself. If so, he might be in for a fight. As the Korin would recognize his outfit and place him as a member of the Order, one of their enemies.
He waited for her reply, his deep brown eyes locked with hers.

She thought the man seemed to be watching her as she looked at him. Inspecting her was a better word for it now that she thought about it. She didn't think much as to why he would be doing so. She usually knows from past experiences why men would. They either thought she was pretty and watched her, or they wondered who she was with such clothes and with a sword. Then again perhaps because she was a woman alone in this area.
Many men think women are useless without a man around them. It was a common thing so she accepted that. But she didn't accept those views of women. Which is why she loved it when she win against men in duels. But not every man was like that. If she judged him like that she would only be doing the same thing men do to women. She noticed he had a book. She wondered what the book was, perhaps the man is here for research. It also could be just a light read while here.
She nodded at his remark about the temple, glancing over to the temple again. She wondered if the natives ever got bored at looking at this ridiculously huge building. As she was looking over the temple she listened to the man words. A dangerous area huh? Does that mean the rumored temple monsters exist? Maybe they come out from time to time if so. It also could have been creatures outside the temple, if so she has been lucky because she hasn't meet one on her way here. He could have been referring to people such as bandits but she wasn't scared of petty thieves.
She smiled and looked back at the man noticing his eyes met hers. "Thank you for your concern. But, I have faith and confidence in my strength." she said while pointing to her sword still laying against the temple wall." I know I am not the strongest person in the world, but I know I have the means to protect myself. What about you sir? You are alone aren't you? I could ask the very same question to you." she said in a soft tone. She hoped he would get her gesture and answer why he was alone here. She stared at his eyes sort of like a response from him doing the same. His eyes were deep brown, she liked them.

Michael laughed softly, "Touche," He replied. "But In truth I simply wandered here, curious about the Temple. My brother told me of it, but I had never seen it."
He pointed back in the direction of the village he'd come from. "And if dangers calls, I am not too far away from aid. My unit lies in a village not far from here."
Again his eyes drifted to her odd garb, "Tell me, stranger. From what land do you come? I have met many warriors in my travels, both male and female. But never one dressed such as you."

Fabia turned her attention into looking upwards. Looking at the sky and clouds while listening to him. In a way he came in a similar manner for why she came to the temple. His brother told him about it so he must have wanted to come see it since he said he hasn't before. While she came here to look and confirm many of the things she has heard it, it was also her first time seeing it as well. Well everybody has their own reason for doings things.
He has an aid? So he was traveling with somebody. But he said unit does that mean hes traveling around with a team of people. Her mind went back to one of her earlier guesses of him being a researcher. But she didn't think much of that after he asked about her just then. So he was curious about what she was wearing from when he was inspecting her. At least she knew that much at least. She didn't really understand why people thought what she wore was strange. But she might as well answer since he was curious enough to ask her about it.
She looked down to her feet then back at the sky. "I am from Kouchi. I was raised there as a child then spent most of my life in Allondell. My clothes? she paused and looked at her attire before turned her head staring at his eyes again. "Are they that strange? I just happened to like the look. I decided to wear these clothes because its just a simple fondness for them. There's nothing really special to them if it appears that way." she said finishing up with a smile. Neither of them have introduced themselves yet she noticed. If they were going to talk, an introduction would be needed. She put her left hand over her chest, her sleeve slipping down her arm a little. "My name is Fabia." she said as she just decided to introduce herself. Well he said why he was there why not say why she was there before he asks she decided."I've heard many stories about this place and I came to see what was true or simply just a rumor." She said innocently as she turned back looking at the temple once more.

Darklighter sat crouched in the shadows, watching and waiting as the two warriors spoke. Slowly, he reached for his handgun, and wrapped his fingers around the cool metal handle. With his free hand, he unlatched the soft leather strap that kept the handgun secure. With complete control, he slid the pistol out of its holster, and rested it against his leg. Taking a deep breath, he thought to himself.
Showtime.
Darklighter turned himself invisible, and nonchalantly strolled over to the two people. With a calm and cool, if not creepy voice, he spoke.
"Hello there, pretty lady. My name is Ghost, and I'll be your... friend for the day." Still invisible, Darklighter immediately bolted away, letting the two people hear his footsteps as he ran.
I forgot how much fun this was

Michael froze as he heard the voice, unsure of the source. And then, quickly as the voice had come, he heard the heavy footfalls of someone running away. His brow furrowed in confusion, unsure of what manner of creature would act so strangely.
The voice had sounded human enough, and judging by the footfalls, it was a solid guess that he wasn't a seven-foot monstrosity or some foul fiend. And then there was the fact that the man hadn't exactly threatened either he or Fabia.
He swiftly hefted the plain scabbard that encased Fidelis, though he did not draw the holy weapon. He then cocked an eyebrow towards Fabia, "Friend of yours?" He questioned politely, eyes scanning the surrounding area for signs of the apparently invisible newcomer. Ears listening for any sounds other than those he and the nearby woman made.

(ooc: I thank you for waiting for me. I am deeply sorry for the delay.)
Fabia's eyes stared at the large building, letting herself be amazed by its grand designs. The man she was talking to seemed to decide not to introduce himself after giving her own name out. He probably didn't think about it as well. She might as well take the initiative and just ask him. She turned her gaze back upon him and was about to ask him, but she found herself interrupted. Another voice rose up from nowhere.
She looked around for the source while listening to whoever was talking. She didn't happen to see anybody. The voice sounded male to her with an eerie tone behind it."I'm flattered to be called pretty." she said out almost instinctively. She didn't care if anybody heard what she said or missed it. She felt like saying that out right. But whoever or whatever it was, it called itself a ghost.
Could it really be a ghost? But as soon as the so called ghost spoke up she heard loud footsteps trailing away. It sounded as if it was running away or fleeing. From the moment she heard the footsteps she no longer believed it to be a ghost. Her first thought was some troublemaker. Perhaps he could cast his voice in other areas or knew spells to hide himself.
She looked at the first man she was talking to. He didn't seem to know what that was all about either, even asking her if that was a friend. Well the so called ghost said it would be her friend of the day, but by no means did she know whoever it was to call it a friend. She quickly stood up and ran out to where the sounds of the ghost seemed to run off to. She ran out a small distance from the steps she was sitting on."No." she replied to the man."But lets try and find out. Please stay behind me and touch nothing that you see coming out from my mouth." she said in a serious tone warning him.
She could only hope he understand what she was saying and took her warning. She inhaled a deep breath in. Then she blew out what seemed to be the same breathe but with a yellow powder coming out. The yellow powder is an original spell of her own creation which she uses magic to create special powders as she exhales. She has different powders with different effects. The yellow powder spread out into the air like a cloud. Lifting up her right hand she spun her hand around manipulating wind around the hand. Then with a push of her hand the gave a gust of wind forward and the powder flew and spread out. Fabia breathed out an itching powder which she hoped whatever was talking earlier would cry in pain or confusion after getting caught up in it. She hoped by manipulating wind with magic and by using it to push the powder it would catch up with the culprit. She chose the itching powder because she believed it would be the best use to perhaps halt and find whoever it was that was running away.

Darklighter cursed as he felt the itching powder touch his skin. Thinking quickly, he uncloaked himself, and holstered his weapons.
I hate doing this...
Darklighter's entire body shook as his skin color and clothing changed. Now, he was three inches shorter, with jet black skin, brown eyes, and red hair. His face changed to mimic that of a man he saw years ago, back in some forgotten mine. With a smile, he slumped down against the wall, still itching. He pulled out his knife, and made a long cut across his face and chest, drawing blood. He then took his perfectly silenced handgun, and put a bullet in his own leg. Carefully, while still bleeding, he hid his handgun and knife under shirt. Finally, he screamed as loud as he could.
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Please... help me... somebody..."
As he groaned, he thought to himself about how perfectly his plan would work. Happy with his own pain, he closed his eyes, and breathed heavily...
