A new code has been added to the site that lifts the size restriction on avatars. However, the size restriction is still a maximum of 150 pixels wide and 300 tall (150x300). You will not be able to exceed this, as it is coded into the site, and anything larger by any dimension will be automatically (and probably in an ugly way) resized.
Your image no longer needs to be requested in the member requests board, and you can simply plug your link into the avatar url box as you usually would with no further input necessary.
Thank your for your time.

It would seem that the coding for the Large Avatar system is flawed, and not always resizes avatars that exceed the set 150x300 pixel restriction. At least for me, but if it can happen to one person it can happen to others. As a result, I will be looking through all avatars and removing any that exceed the specified parameters, and you will need to find new ones or ask Risk or another photoshop-savvy member on the site to whip up an avatar you can use that doesn't exceed the restriction.
