Little did Joe know, 'Hey woman' was a bit more common of a label when people dealt with his fellow soldier. The two continued to sneak the best they could, though Krys's' armor clanking here and there didn't help much. "Krystal." she eventually whispered. "Krystal Sharidan. Nice ta meetcha Joey."

Joe nodded, "Nice to meet ya. Thanks for coming to bust us out, things were getting pretty bad. They were about to kill me." He said dryly.
He held up his hand suddenly, motioning her to come to a stop. He then ducked down and started crouch-walking forward, "Up ahead, looks like the entrance to where they kept us. But I'm not seeing any guards." He whispered.
"They might have moved them, or I suppose it could be a trap as well."

"Then there's nothing to worry about." she replied, fully of confidence. "So let's go, huh?" She took a few steps forward, but bothered to wait to see if her partner had any problems.

"Have you ever tried being 'stealthy' in your life?" Joe asked softly, his tone caught somewhere between curiosity and exasperation. "It occasionally helps."
Annoyed as he was at the woman's seeming oblivious nature to the danger they were in, he complied and moved forward with her. Hoping and praying that Laramie and Zandara were still in the cells, because if they weren't...he had no idea where they were.

"There they are!" came the shouts of some angry bandits armed with swords. "Get them!"
Two men wielding longswords raced down the hallway, both looking enraged at their captives' escape and the bomb the newcomer had planted for them. They looked ready to kill.

Joe grimaced and dodged forward, moving to attack. Two of them...he could actually handle, he was reasonably sure of that. But hopefully Krystal would take the other.
He dodged pasted the first man, lashing out with his blade as he did so, an incentive for the other man to keep moving. And then they were past each other and he only had the one to deal with.
The man gave a cry and clumsily swung the sword towards Joe's chest. Joe shook his head sadly and blocked the blow, then lashed out with one of his own. As it turned out, the man wasn't as clumsy as it had first appeared, and was able to block Joe's swing as well.
They backed away from each other, each of them sizing the other up with a little more respect than they'd had for each other mere seconds before.
Again they clashed, this time cautiously, testing the waters, as it were. The two blades flashed back and forth, slashing and parrying. Joe was at a slight disadvantage due to his blade's short nature, but he made up for it with an edge in speed, even in his wounded state.
Finally the other man made a mistake, leaving an opening near his upper torso. Joe took the chance and dodged in close to the man, under his guard and away from the dangerous edge of the bandit's blade. He rammed his own blade home into the man's torso, a half foot or so below the bandit's left shoulder. There was a soft, slicing sound, and then the man fell to the ground, dead.
Joe spun to see if Krystal needed help, blade at the ready.

With ease, Krystal had sidestepped the bandit and disarmed him before swiftly knocking his head into a wall, rending him unconscious. By this point, the girl seemed oddly focused, and serious. "...Did you have to kill him like that?" She asked her partner, almost sounding disappointed. She seemed to do her best to shake the feeling off, though. "Let's just go. We're wasting time."

Joe jogged ahead of Krystal, replying as he did so. "The guy was good with a sword. Better to kill him than leave him at our backs to wake up and stab us when we're not looking."
He poked his head into the tunnel that held the cells. "Laramie, Dara?" He called out, praying for an answer.
He didn't receive one.
Joe shook his head in annoyance, slamming a fist lightly against the wall in frustration. "Well, that's a problem. I have no clue where they are."

"Wonderful."
So not only could the two be just about anywhere in this giant place, but they wouldn't be able to take the fast way; The magic seal hadn't worn off yet.
"Look, why not just search for the leader then? Any idea where his room might be?"

Joe froze, stiff as a board. He felt as though he needed to slap his face and give a comical "doh!" sound as well. The Bandit leader at the very least would be a solid bargaining chip to get Dara and Laramie back, if they weren't with him already.
He spun, a rare grin on his face. "brilliant." He said as he dashed down the tunnel, his feet retracing the steps he'd taken days before to the bandit leader's room.

"Hey, wait up you jerk!" Krys called while running after the man. Obviously Joe knew where he was going for once. And maybe, just maybe, a few other answers could be... persuaded out of the leader. Provided he hadn't escaped or anything of course.

Joe slowed his pace, allowing Krystal to catch up with him. From there, he led the way in silence, trying to keep the speed up. He realized they could be making a completely pointless trip if the Bandit leader wasn't in his room, or office...or whatever the blasted room was.
But at the moment it was better than running around blindly fighting every enemy they could find.
Less than five uneventful minutes later, Joe slowed to a crawling speed and nodded ahead at a well-lit doorway,"Bandit leader was in there, they brought us there to interrogate us. With luck...he's still there."
The fact that it was well-lit was a good sign, but even then, a pessimistic part of Joe's brain told him. It didn't have to be the bandit leader there. Or it could be a trap...he shrugged mentally, tired of having to sneak around.
He crept up to the doorway, and prepared to enter, giving Krystal one last questioning look to make sure she was ready.

"Ugh, what? You need my help with this too?" Without a moment's' notice, the armor-clad woman kicked the door down and made her grand entrance. Strangely though, she deepened her voice for this. "Enough playing around. Come on out!" While there were a few people in the room, she couldn't quite eye a leader. Not that she had time what with the other bandits arming themselves.

Krystal's reward for her troubles was to see a Stamarian blade rifle held by the leader come sweeping down at her brow, attempting to part her in the middle of her skull. Barging into the room without notice had been a bad move on her part.

Clunk.
Helmets? Useful? In our RP? As if. Anyway it wasn't a direct hit. Krystal backed up a bit as the blade came down. She wanted to counter with some Earth magic, but her luck wasn't the best today.
"Big man." She was still disguising her voice; Fairly well actually. And quickly the warrior lunged forward, hopefully giving Joe an opening to sneak in. There'd be no mercy here, it seemed.
