The Lands Beyond the Great Wall
One of the few true mysteries of the world left, the lands that lie beyond the Great Wall are something avoided entirely by Stamaria and the Korin as a whole. Treacherous storms plague the land in every direction once the Great Wall has been passed, and the only chartered civilizations in the area are the few small towns just on the borders of the Great Wall, not daring to pass beyond.
However, were one to pass this wall and enter into the great unknown world the lies past it, their world would change nearly instantly. The terrain is treacherous beyond imagination; one wrong step in the blinding whirlwinds of snow could mean a pitfall to certain doom, a cliff obscured from view, or straight into the den of creatures only seen in these lands. Scattered ruins can be found beyond the Wall, destroyed long ago and providing only slight shelter for those who travel through them. Those who have survived long enough to see these things and report back have been discredited of their reports as no one place is ever found twice.
Rumors circulate that there are small societies out here, leftover from ancient civilizations, doomed spirits and generations alike, never treading back into the cultured world, but the rumors of blacksmiths or leatherworkers that make only the most legendary things are often excitement enough to coerce a foolish traveler into the unknown.
The farther north you go, the worse it gets. Caves and even just overhangs are best avoided most often due to the kinds of creatures that they might hold. Vision is a luxury not often available, and it would take the most experienced and best equipped adventurers to even hope to survive. However, there is a point that even technology cannot breach as the lands beyond the Great Wall fade into the Maelstrom, the ever brewing storm.
