Robert Valentine walked slowly along the wharves of Rogueport, no longer wearing his black suit but clothing more befitting a mercenary commander, sans most of the weapons, of course. His eyes were scanning the wharves, looking for a specific person. Xira Fondi was a hard woman to track down, but a reliable source had said she'd be in Rogueport on or around this date.
Trailing behind him by a few yards, taking in the smells of the city, Laura Redding followed, clad in the dark browns and tans she normally wore, a large grin upon her face. She'd grown up in a small fishing port in Aube, and was quite at home here. Indeed, the dark-skinned girl with the coal-colored eyes and brilliant white smile seemed to be enjoying Rogueport immensely.
She took a bite out of a meat-skewer she'd bought from a wharf-side merchant and jogged up to Robert's side. "This must be hell on your nose." She said with concern, referencing his werewolf-enhanced senses.
Robert shook his head, "It's not too bad." He replied easily. "As long as I don't stay here for longer than a day or two I don't mind."
"Still, I could have done it alone, I'm not too bad at dealing with people who aren't assassins."
Robert laughed lightly, the sound rich. "Of that I have no doubt, Laura. I trust you implicitly, just as I do your aunt and the rest of the Redding family. But I felt I should be here for this meeting."
Laura nodded with understanding. Robert wanted to be very hands-on with their current operation, and had been busying himself with preparations for the mission. "Does this Xira lady know we're here to meet her?" she questioned, taking another bite out of her meat-skewer.
Robert shook his head, unsure. "It's possible," he hazarded, "my contact was supposed to let her know about a job opportunity. But whether he was able to get the message to her remains to be seen. Keep your eyes open for her, she is said to be quite beautiful, in an exotic way, so it shouldn't be terribly hard to spot her."
