~Appearance~
Jett Black can be described as a tall, lean man who is completely clad from head to toe in rebellious, black leather biker-gear. A plethora of belts and a few silver chains decorate his outfit in an typical 'rebellious anarchist' fashion, and his head remains forever sealed within a biker's helmet with a pitch-black visor he adamantly refuses to remove.
~Personality~
Twisted, but silent. Jett Black takes to the role of a professional hitman with incredible ease. Speaking only when he needs to, and in constant thirst for the mere sight of blood. His favorite targets are those hardest to kill, and he prefers to hunt them down the 'proper' way, refusing to hide or snipe. His lack of (or refusal to use) proper sneaking technique hardly diminishes his ability to eliminate any given target, however. Jett's a Hunter, through and through.
[li]Jett's Shotgun x2 - Jett's one-of-a-kind, customized shotgun. It fires specialized shrapnel-ammunition in a semi-concentrated spray that can hit more targets at a distance, but does it's best damage to a single target up close and personal.
[/li][li]Jett's Machete x2 - A pair of black machetes. Jett usually sticks to using one at a time, but he keeps a spare just in case.
[/li][li]Smart Bombs - Curiously enough, Jett carries a supply of the same all-around versatile explosives that Jazz does. It seems to imply they know each other, or at least shop for their explosives at the same weapons developer...
[/li][li]Iron Threads - More proof that Jett possibly gets his tech from the same place as Jazz... the hitman carries a supply of Iron Threads as well.
[/li][li]Doom Bringer - A massive gun normally left strapped around Jett's back. It bears a single missile that latches onto any surface it comes in contact to, and drills halfway into the target before detonating in a fantastically powerful explosion. The launcher itself is often used as a hammer before AND after firing.
[/li][li]Flamethrower - Not so much a separate gun as a feature installed on DoomBringer. It's, well... it's a flamethrower. It's got some pretty good range and incinerating power.[/li][/ul]
[li]Combat Training - Like Jazz before him, Jett is also a capable melee fighter. Despite this, he prefers to simply gun targets down with his trademark shotgun.
[/li][li]Killer's Instinct - Jett possesses the remarkable ability to 'log' a single target to his 'memory'. Once logged, he can keep tabs of that target's location for up to 3 miles at all times, making it easy to ruthlessly chase down an escaped target. Like his brother Michael, this is the result of a psychic power caused by a special genetic defect.
[/li][li]Dead Zone - When ready for battle, a zone with a 5-yard radius is generated around Jett called "the Dead Zone". Targets within this zone become weakened, as if by decay, although the effect ends immediately upon escaping the Dead Zone... but in the meantime, the target takes nearly twice as much damage from all attacks until they do.[/li][/ul]
~History~
Gabriel belonged to a group of police-turned-assassins known as SENTINEL. Once they protected their city, but in recent years they had devolved into a group of shadowy assassins, manipulating their city from the shadows. Gabriel once joined the SENTINEL Forces aspiring to be a protector of rights and justice. He was inspired especially by the exploits of famed SENTINEL Operative, Michael Justice.
Up until that point, Gabriel had been emotionally scarred by the tragedies that plagued his life. Frequent and violent crime destroyed (in many cases, literally) his family and loved ones, and left him an orphan. For what seemed like a lifetime, he hoped beyond hope that he could find a nice place to live free of the rampant violence. His brother, Michael (known now as "Jazz"), had told him he was going to join SENTINEL, and fight for the innocent on behalf of their dead parents, and to prove to Gabriel that there was, indeed, good in this world. Gabriel was so proud of his older brother that as soon as he was old enough, he too joined SENTINEL to fight alongside his heroic brother.
By the time he joined, however, the SENTINEL forces were already making their twisted metamorphosis. Throughout his training he began to realize that the SENTINEL forces were nothing more than criminals and thugs as well, and the point was driven home when he was forced to kill a man.
Just a man. He wasn't a murderer and he'd never stolen anything. Gabriel had simply been told to kill the man since he posed "a threat to the future glory of SENTINEL". His mentor was a cold-blooded killer, and trained Gabriel to be as such, eventually breaking the poor child.
It was then that Gabriel realized...
His brother, Michael... isn't a hero at all! Michael had LIED to him this whole time, tricking him into thinking that there were still heroes in this world, but in all reality... it was a lie. There was no good in this world and everything was run by vicioius, ruthless, bloodthirsty criminals.
Finally tired of fighting the inevitability of it all, Gabriel gave in. Something in his mind snapped, and he convinced himself that he truely was a cold, ruthless killer, to the point of developing his own, sadistic taste for blood.
But despite this, he could never forgive the man that lied to him. When Michael betrayed the SENTINEL forces and systematically brought them down, you would think that Gabriel would have realized his brother was a goodguy after all. But the twisting of his mind had become permanent. He was no longer the Gabriel Justice who longed for a peaceful world.
Now he was Jett Black, a dangerous man with a dangerous past. A filthy, sinful murderer who was lied to by the only man he trusted. A man who must now DIE.
