Name: Martin Tiogar
Alias: The Korin Tiger.
Age: 48
Gender: Male
Nationality: Kemei
Appearance: Martin generally appears as a mostly average, athletic human male who looks to be in his early thirties. He stand at just a tad under six feet in height (weighing a light one-hundred-forty-seven pounds). His hair is black as pitch and middling in length, with tousled bangs somewhat obscuring his fiery, seductive eyes with irises the color of blood. His nose is straight as an arrow, and a seeming permanent five o’clock shadow graces his scarred chin. His skin is pale white, standing in stark contrast with his hair and eyes.
Martin is somewhat unique in that he is a Weretiger with the ability to change his shape into that of a large, muscular tiger. When in that form, he stands a little under three-and-a-half feet in height, and stretches almost eleven feet in length (from tip of the nose to the end of his tail). His color is that of usual creatures, shaggy orange fur with black stripes (some fading to almost brown on his underbelly).
In his tiger form, he most certainly is frightening in appearance, considering the sheer size and muscle of the tiger, and the lethal claws and teeth he is armed with.
As a human, his attire is relatively simple. Brown combat boots, black jeans and a black polo shirt in most situations. A simple brown belt holds up the pants. And a pair of holsters (one at his left hip, the other at his right shoulder) round out the appearance.
Personality: As Martin is unique to most of the world (in being a Weretiger), he is also unique among Weretigers in that he isn’t a sadistic, perverse rapist. In fact, as a whole, Martin’s not such a bad fellow.
As a whole, of course, has its exceptions. Martin is no saint, and he’s the first to admit it. His heritage and family upbringing have left him a womanizer, quite famed among certain circles for his sexual prowess. He follows no specific religion, which causes some to wonder why the Korin put up with him, due to his promiscuity and apparent lack of concern for their beliefs. Most agree that he’s allowed to stay in the Korin due to the fact that he’s a cold-hearted killer who always gets the job done, no matter what.
Being a womanizer, he is capable of playing up his average looks with a manic blend of fiery charisma and something approaching a bad-boy persona. Though the bad-boy persona is actually a shell, his past has made Martin very wary of any sort of meaningful relationships. He recognizes this wariness hampers him in many ways, but even so, has very little idea of how to combat it.
Besides all that, he is intelligent and street-smart. Certainly not genius-level, but he has a knack for seeing things coming and getting into a position to weather the storm.
There is one thing that is especially unique about Martin (considering his heritage, that is), and one could say it’s his defining rule. He doesn’t force people to do what he wants, despite his strength and power. If an argument, he’ll try to convince them, but will never push too hard. If sex, the word “No” truly means no, and he never takes offense to a woman turning him down.
Among Weretigers who take whatever they want, he stands in stark contrast.
Possessions: N/A
Special Abilities: Martin is an excellent tracker with keen senses. His eyesight, sense of smell and hearing are all enhanced and highly effective no matter what form he takes.
As a Weretiger, he is not bound to shift shape by any lunar cycle, instead shifting whenever he pleases. And as a Weretiger, he is a viciously effective killer, again in either form. In battle, his species is known for being a veritable whirlwind of shape-changing, switching back-and-forth from human to tiger in a maelstrom of death. He often utilizes the tiger-form for speedy and stealthy traversal of combat areas.
And on the note of weapons, Martin is proficient in most types, ranging from guns to swords, though with a preference for ranged weapons, seeing as his claws and teeth make him formidable enough in close combat.
He is also known for a certain sense of discretion, even amid his violence. Leading him to be used as an effective assassin by the Korin. And perhaps more importantly, Martin is intelligent and tactical in his combat planning.
Finally is the fact that his healing ability is far greater than most creatures, and he can survive what most would consider mortal wounds. This doesn’t mean he can heal instantly on the battlefield, but it does lead to very fast recovery times after missions. And for a Weretiger known for doing suicide missions for the Korin, he’s always come back. If one thing is sure, it’s that Martin is a survivor.
His heightened healing also means that he does not age as others do, as Weretigers are largely undocumented, his projected lifespan is unknown. Though expected to be lengthier than humans.
History: Martin’s history is not a happy one, considering the family he was born into. Weretigers are not nice creatures, they follow their own desires, no matter where that takes them. Martin came into a family where love was only another word for sex, and sex was really only for the powerful. They took what they wanted, no matter who it was from, including family.
Martin didn’t come to understand just how crazy his family was until his teenage years. And once he realized that his family was essentially a bunch of incestuous rapists who also happened to greatly enjoy hunting humans down and killing them, he realized he had to get out of there. No one can say why he didn’t turn out quite like the rest of his family, and compared to most humans, he’s still a cold-hearted killer.
But compared to Weretigers, he was practically a paragon of virtue, which caused them to hate him almost as much as he feared and despised them. So he fled his family, drifting to any place that would take him. Realizing that even though he’d escaped his family, it wasn’t before he’d been mentally scarred. While fine with casual sex, Martin realized that trying to form any sort of meaningful relationship was almost beyond him, leading to a very lonely existence.
Eventually he found his way into the Elven Enign Syndicate, where he found training and eventually employ as a trouble-shooter/wetwork specialist. After that, it was said he parted ways with the Syndicate and joined the Korin, though seeing as he was never one for their beliefs, and has no particular stake in their cause, it’s anyone’s guess as to why he joined the shadowy terrorist organization.
Miscellaneous: It’s been rumored that the Korin Harbinger himself has put out word to the female members of the Korin to stay away from Martin. Though whether that is true or not remains to be seen.
