Name: Khordus Jorin Stamarin
Alias: Bastard Prince, Harbinger for the Korin
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Nationality: Cher Plek
Appearance: Small in perspective to his older brother, Aurinar, Khordus Jorin stands at 1.9 meters and weighs close to 85 kilograms. Khordus’ figure is much swarthier than his brothers, their dark black hair being one of the few easily connectable similarities. His face is darkened by the son and half his blood, scars running across his checks and neck, but a seemingly perfect addition to his pristine complexion. Like his brother, Khordus has a near perfectly beautiful face, but the manner in which this beauty is brought is quite different.
Despite being in his mid-30s, Khordus, much like his brother, looks several years beneath his age. Khordus’ nose gives the look of being broken once but healing well, the slightness of the misshapenness adding an undertone of rugged masculinity on his ageless skin. His eyes are a dark brown, shadowed and deeply set in his dark skin, and often covered slightly by loose strands of hair. His face is clean-shaven and smooth, scars aside, and his chin is perfectly cut, leading to his strong neck.
Similar to his brother, Khordus’ whole body can be described much like a tree-trunk as well, but of a different kind. Flexible and slim, his body is similar to that of a willow tree. His arms are strong but not harshly so like his brother. Nimble and quick, one of his hands is covered by a complicated robotic gauntlet, a blue pulse emanating from the center circle on the back of it. His other hand is uncovered, a studded bracer being the only support in travel or combat.
Like most Cher Plekians, Khordus keeps his clothing relatively simple, a dark, lightly woven tunic covering his torso but leaving his arms bare, with a metal girdle holding the center tight. The material is tough on all accounts of his garments but incredibly resilient as well, made to withstand the harsh environments of the jungles and her stalkers. (Reference Image)
Personality: Khordus’ attitude is surprisingly similar to Aurinar’s, despite the difference in their lifestyles, but the reasons for their attitudes still stand on opposite ends of the spectrum. Strong minded and full of wit, the man lives to defeat his enemy. The Korin Harbinger intends to plead his case for freedom to the world with bloodshed and the sheer display of dominance. His style for fighting and negotiations though is much craftier than even his brother. As surely as Aurinar has strength, Khordus has guile, setting traps for his enemies and striking from the rear; he is considered one of the most dishonorable men in the eyes of the Stamarian military.
Nevertheless, Khordus has captured the heart of his people as well. Feeling mandated to his mother, his only blood, the Korin Harbinger taking up his title at the behest of her. The man has no dedicated his life to the cause of freedom in his country and across the world from the oppressive imperialistic grasp of the Stamarian Empire. Leading his men with a vigor of fire, Khordus’ is a brilliant speaker to both large audiences and select people, his influence binding many to the cause his life is now bound to.
Possessions:
Multi-Purpose Gauntlet: Khordus’ gauntlet is designed for several uses, as well providing his main weapon hand with ample protection. The gauntlet allows Khordus to create magnetic fields around objects he can see or clearly knows the nearby location, allowing him to push or pull the object up to lethal velocities if necessary. Beyond this, it can also send out electric currents, often exploding or damaging technology. Naturally, as the quality of the tech goes up, the amount of damage goes down. This is often used simply for prematurely overheating guns or damaging sensors in buildings or on armor.
Twin’s Peril: Twin’s Peril is a set of cleverly crafted axes that Khordus carries with him at all times. The haft runs about the length of forearm to fingertip, and it ends in the thin, spiked blade. About half an inch thick, the blade runs in the curve of a half-crescent shape, but three times on the outer edge of the blade is a protrusion of a curved but also sharp prong. These three shredding pieces make for deadly mutilation of the target if necessary.
The second feature of these blades lies in the release mechanism. A button in the handle releases the head of the axe, letting the deadly tip fly loose and taking off part of the handle as well. With the head of the axe gone, a second, deadly weapon is revealed beneath the haft of the weapon. With the outer covering gone, a dagger extends viciously, allowing Khordus to fight with long knives if necessary.
Special Abilities: While adept in the art of fire and earth magic, Khordus is most lethal beyond raw elemental magic. Instead, he practices the more subtle arts of magic. From a young age, Khordus learned to Shadowstalk his prey. Leaping from shadow to another without the slightest noise, he is incredible deadly in dimly lit spaces, but even in the open as well. Beyond this ability, he also possesses the ability to meld with his surroundings quite effectively, even while moving. The longer he stays in one place, however, the more effective the camouflage becomes. His knowledge of magic and subtly is ever growing as he seeks and learns more possibilities, but he remains to be perhaps the most lethal weapon the Korin currently possess.
History: Born to Ver Jorin in 68 S.R., Khordus grew up with a loathing for the Stamarians thanks to his mother. While Ver had been making negotiations between Cher Plek and Stamaria , Trens Stamarian engaged himself with an affair between himself and the beautiful ambassador. Without his knowledge he impregnated her, and when she furious left the country because of him, she found out that she would not be rid of him.
Khordus was born being told that his father had been murdered by the Stamarian imperialists, which was true, but his father by blood was not the Maesus Jorin that Ver had spoken of. Told that the Stamarians had betrayed Cher Plek and abandoned them to invasion by soldiers and ravaging by pirates, Khordus was a child ready for war the moment it struck.
When she felt her son was of age, Ver began to organize what would soon be known as the Korin. From across the continent she gathered all people of importance, village leaders, city councilmen, clan chieftains, and even pirate captains. Ver and Khordus spoke to these men and women and urged them of the cause at hand, the cause of what would soon be world rebellion. Incredible numbers immediately rallied to the cause, and more fell in soon after the initial forming.
As leaders came, so did warriors, and Khordus was tasked with being both the hand and the mouth of the Korin. Reclaim territory and leading raids across the border, Khordus quickly brought war upon the world in the name of the Korin, the rallying cry of freedom echoing across all countries.
Miscellaneous: Khordus is the half brother of Aurinar Stamarin, the current Emperor of the Stamarian Empire.
