It was then that the creature struck--from the highest points of the main staircase, something swept down on huge, feathery wings at Fabia as she retreated from the other individuals. Sharp talons extended as the Griffin zeroed in on the woman it had chosen for its prey.
But this Griffin was unlike any other--instead of the brilliant white feathers, this beast was covered in a mat of black feathers. The skin beneath had become mottled with gray and purple blotches, and gray splotches had flecked the now-black fur of the feline back body. Its beak had been come jagged and crueler than before, a poisonous violet color, and the eyes had taken on an unholy bright glow. A black miasma wafted off of its form, leaving trails where its wings cut through the air.

OOC Um... Orsay.... In you post, I didn't see any mention of you recognizing Darkrider's post.... so, yeah.... I'm not sure if you two have worked something out, but I don't want anybody to be ignored here.... moving on.... Jericho raised his rifle again, and stared at Fabia. "Damn..... what's with this woman..." Jericho turned invisible and darted to a bush. He crawled in and raised his rifle one more time. He squeezed the trigger and one perfectly silent bullet left the barrel of the gun, and flew straight at Fabia's head.
Jericho cloaked again, and then moved to a different bush. Suddenly, a shriek echoed through the air. A black creature tore through the air, leaving a trail of darkness behind it. Jericho cursed, and uttered a quiet prayer.

Meanwhile....
Rain drew his bow string as he watched Jericho raise his rifle. Suddenly, the man was gone without a trace.
Slick bastard...Time to step it up a bit.... I need a bit of a miracle here...
Rain heard the shriek from above, and smiled. "Let nature provide." He darted from his shadow, spun around, drew his bow, and fired at the man with the large sword. The arrow flew straight and fast, right for it's mark. Rain pressed in tight against another shadow and waited to take his next move.

Kent shook his head in disbelief.
I've heard of deux ex machina, but that was ridiculous. he thought to himself. Next time that whore tries making moves towards him or his co-workers, she wouldn't be as lucky.
Sensors picked up a new contact. Looking up, he beheld a new abomination, this time in the sky. Things had definetly taken a turn for the coincidental. Suddenly, his attention was focused once more on his aquaintances on the ground, the knight of which was a target of a fast approaching arrow. Switching to thermal and heartbeat sensors, he detected a presence hidden the bushes, apparently taking advantage of the confusion of the newly arrived beast, and trying to pick them off while they were distracted.
Note to self: convince Jericho to not make as many enemies. Said enemies will also mean they are mine, and I can only handle so many... Kent grumbled.
Maybe this time his shot won't miss. Although he faced the aggressor at a tight angle, it was the only one that wouldn't give away his position easily.
Maybe if I fry a neat hole in his arm, he would temporaily be disabled. Kent measured, as his sights once again laid perfectly still on the zoomed target. Another round was sent off, and then Kent redirected his attention at a potentially more immediate threat. He commed Jericho.
"You have any ideas on how to kill gigantic flying zombies? They weren't exactly covered in my training manuals."

(I did not skip darkriders post. I indeed reacted to his post you might wanna reread, but its alright if you missed it)
Soon this entire moment will be over with. Fabia could see the temple more in plain view. Well with its size its very hard to miss in the first place. She just couldnt wait until the day was over and finding herself asleep. It however would seem that would not happen anytime soon. For as soon as she began to run near the vacinity of the fire temple something dangerous was crawling her way. It wasnt even crawling, it was flying and heading straight to her. She scowled upon sight of the creature. She was in no mood to deal with this. Fabia continued running with a grin growing.Well she figured she could've vented out her frustration from earlier on this bird thing.
She swirled her arms again as she ran creating swirling winds around her arms. She jumped and pushed the winds downwards causing her to fly higher into the air. As she jumped using her spell she unknowingly dodged a bullet that seemed to have come from nowhere.Lets have some fun little birdie. I just hope my plan works, Im not cut out to fight these things She thoought as her wind spell pushed her up to the bird. she unsheathed her sword with her right arm. She was hoping by jumping upwards she could catch the monster off guard. She swung her left arm from her right side of the chest to behind her as far back as her arm could go. She used magic again to manipulate the wind.
Creating a distracting wind to again distract it and maybe get it off with its balance of wind causing it to fly irregular even for a few seconds. The second purpose of the wind was the some of it pushed her towards the creature faster. As she swung her arm creating the air she breathed out white sleeping powder hoping the wind would bring the powder. She neared the creature as her wind spells caused her to get closer. She only hoped it got a whiff of her powder as her sword took a slice aiming for the birds head.

After Kent questioned his partner about the zombie, as if on cue, a mighty roar could be heard echoing through the sky. Galvonox, the Death Storm, could be seen flying torwards the Nightmare Griffin. The Great Blackscaled Dragon attempts to close his jaws around the zombie-like creature, drawn in by the necrosis its death aura gives off. If you look closely you can see that its missing an eye, and also looks like it happened recently...
As the Great Dragon makes his appearance, an unnatural thick darkness blanketed the entire area. The only thing that can be seen is the glow of his eerie purple eye and the deathly aura of the Nightmare Griffin.

I'm locking this thread down as of 3:13 pm central time on 7/6/2010.
This thread has done nothing but create confusion and frustration for several people involved and as of yet it has not actually gone anywhere. This zone isn't really supposed to be in use in the first place, but even so no one is being bettered by this.
Therefore, I would like to see each of you scrub this from your character's history completely. This thread will be considered entirely void, so it should never be used in future posts. No one who met here will have met.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I think this thread has rather become one in and of itself.
Thank you for your time.
