The Sea Temple
On a rocky coastal Cliffside in Valtheran, the Sea Temple finds its foothold where two halves of the cliffs rise up to form a canyon that leads to the structure’s roof where the entrance can be found. Pushed up against the back wall of the temple, a large domed doorway gives way to the inside of the tower. Inside, blue tone dances with ethereal light, simulating closely the reflection of the water in sunlight. Long, narrow beams provide the only means of traveling through the temple, a dangerous means of walking through such a tall tower, though along the outer walls, thicker beams of the same stone circle in a downward spiral.
Deeper into the tower, large chambers are held together with magic. Their columns are made up entirely of enchanted water, still flowing, but suspended in the air to hold up their rooms. Farther down still, the Temple extends down beneath the ocean waves, flooding many of the rooms, yet leaving some untouched and dry. Perhaps due to its aquatic nature, the Sea Temple holds less creatures within it than the other Temples of Power, but makes up for it with their vicious and dangerous natures. Ages ago, the Sea Temple was infested by both Murlocs and Naga, who prowl their halls. And, as time passed, the Murlocs within began to mutate, becoming even more dangerous than their brethren. Biri, Slaughterfish, and Dreugh have swept into the Sea Temple’s flooded halls, making the waterways even more dangerous.
The temple is guarded by a strange, prehistoric-looking creature by the name of Memphre. Smaller than the other Guardians protecting the Temples of Power, this being easily maneuvers through the water, residing in a large, spherical chamber that is half-filled with water. At the center of the chamber, a large circular platform hovers over the water, now and then receiving a fresh soaking from the lapping waves. The beast waits in the darkened recesses of the chamber, and surges up to attack those on the platform, be they Dreugh, Murloc, or Naga—the Memphre does not discriminate.
Bestiary:
Biri
Dreugh
Land Dreugh
Memphre – Temple Guardian
Murloc
Mutant Murloc
Naga
Slaughterfish
Water Golem
