YU-GI-OH! LOST STAR
In the world of Yu-gi-oh, sometime in the future, where Yuusei, Judai and Yuugi no longer exist save for in the memories of the duelists who passed on their legends… There exists a paradise called Star Salvation. This shining city has paved the way for people to finally understand each other, and live side by side without fights. All disputes are settled on the road now, in an event called Journey Duels. A Journey Duel is an exciting, public event that utilizes the Duel Monsters card game to bring its audience endless entertainment. Journey Duels have two sub-types, Ground and Riding duels.
Ground duels take place in a stationary location, with both players using their normal card decks to battle each other, where as Riding Duels are mobile duels using machines called D-Wheels.
These duels not only help the sportsman-like, but the business-like as well… For in each Duel Disk there exists a special engine know as the "Star Generation Engine", or SGE for short. These engines are connected to the main power-grid of Star Salvation and other cities and end up supplying the city with an almost limitless supply of energy.
People are dependent on this energy, for in this world there no longer exists a peaceful, stable atmosphere. All cities, like Star Salvation, are encased in special domes that regulate air, water, and almost all other manners of life. In fact, most of the planet has far-reaching cities that are closed off from each other, all of them safe within their domes. However, this peace is fragile. If any one dome were to break, tens of thousands of people would begin to lose their lives at an alarming rate.
This is the story of young men and women, all hoping to reach their goals at the end of the road… This… Is Yu-Gi-Oh! LOST STAR!
The first Saga of our story begins in Star Salvation... A young man, running away from his past and from society... Relentlessly pursued by friend and foe alike. At this point, one can only guess where the Journey will lead this young man, but one thing is certain. It will not be an easy road to ride down, and coming back will be next to impossible. The souls of those who have chosen to fight will gather under the Star Signs, and those who have chosen to give their souls to God will appear as their enemies... and only time will tell who the victor and who the righteous are.

TURN 1: THE FUTURE IS NOW!
Dust blew by, as tumbleweed rolled across the desert plains. All of it was fake though. There were no real deserts anymore, just replicas of what once were called deserts. As one young man gazed upon the seemingly endless sea of sand, he sighed. There was no place for someone like him, who hated being confined to this small, forsaken "paradise". He wanted to go outside, into the world beyond that of which he knew. However, in trying to do so he had been marked. Marked as a threat and possible danger to the societal order. That was why he was now on the run. His marker had once again betrayed his location, and now the "order" of the people and what he considered their false society was bearing down on him.
"Damn… Back on the road again."
A screech could be heard in the distance, and alerted the young man to the fact that he was being pursued. The young man sighed and started up his engines, wondering if he could get away this time as he had done so in the past. So far, no one in the Special Forces had been able to stop him, but that didn't mean they wouldn't keep trying again and again and again.
"Time to go, I think."
Suddenly a speck of some kind of light gleamed off in the distance. The young man quirked his eyebrow. Somebody was already ahead of him? Impossible. That would mean…
"… a trap. Damn. I fell right into it this time..."
The young man swore and took off on his D-Wheel, the one he had specially constructed for himself when he was slightly younger, gunning his engine and soaring down the road at top speed. He aimed his trajectory toward the speck of light, wanting to get the jump on… whoever was trying to get the jump on him. As he neared his goal he saw another D-Wheel, rider included, lying in wait for him. Another trap. The person waiting for him obviously had wanted him to try and run. Growling, the young man pulled out his Duel Monsters deck and started the program in his D-Wheel. A mechanical voice rang out, signaling the beginning of the undergoing process.
"DUEL MODE! AUTOPILOT STANDBY?"
The young man grinned. This was the fun part. After pressing a few keys on his D-Wheel, he sped up some more.
"Not this time. This time, I think my OWN skills will be needed more than not."
"AFFIRMATIVE. MANUAL CONTROL SELECTED. DUEL MODE! MANUAL CONTROL! BEGIN ACTIVATION OF DOMINATING FIELD SPELL CARD; SPEED COSMOS SELECTED. ACTIVATION COMPLETE."
The young man zipped by the person lying in wait, rotating his D-Wheel so that he was riding backward and facing the person.
"Let's get this started, eh? Time to duel!"
A faint smile appeared on the helmeted figure's face and a cheery, feminine voice rang out.
"Whenever you're ready, hun!"
The young man sighed. A woman. He was dueling a woman. That meant he would have to focus a lot harder on his moves. He had noticed, over the years of running away from the Special Forces, that their female officers were vastly superior to their male officers… especially when it came to dueling.
After pulling out his first five cards he shouted back to the female officer.
"My name's not 'hun', it's Anton! Though I would love to let you go first, I'm going to have to take the initiative this time! DRAW!"
Anton picked up his first six cards, looking over them carefully as he sped down the road. Unfortunately, it didn't look he was going to lose this woman any time soon… as she was keeping up with his custom D-Wheel without even putting forth any real effort.
DUEL START! TURN 1: ANTON
Anton's LP: 4000
Lady Officer's LP: 4000
"First order of business… I'll play two cards face-down, and then use this! CARD DESTRUCTION! Now, we throw out our hands… and hopefully you know the rest!"
The woman looked at him, her autopilot functioning good and proper. The signal from his marker was keeping her vehicle locked on to his, whether he knew or not was an entirely different story. Still, she had to give him some credit for TRYING to outrun her, right? She sighed as he played his Spell Card, which luckily wasn't a Speed Spell. The woman knew that he had activated the Field Spell "Speed Cosmos" most likely because he did not have any Speed Spells of his own. However, his Spell Card was still a bit of an annoyance anyway, as it caused her to have to draw an entirely new hand.
"Alright, lady, I'll summon this! Breaker, the Magical Warrior in attack mode! Come forth!"
The spellcaster monster was summoned to the field, his sword at the ready and his heavily armored body tensed and prepared to attack. As its summoning was completed its attack points rose up by 300, the effect of the monster activating as Anton entered the End Phase of his turn.
"Well, I introduced myself first, as any gentleman should. I think it's time the lady gave me her name…?"
The woman looked happy that Anton had asked her name, and decided that a little courtesy wouldn't hurt.
"Hehe. The name's Sherrin, Mr. Gentleman, and I think I'm going to like playing with you! Now, how about you be a sweetie and surrender, so you don't get beat!"
Well, a little courtesy and a slight amount of teasing.
"Sorry, but not going to happen. As much as I'd like to, even though I don't, I'm not going to just give up and roll over. Besides, Sherrin, I don't think getting beaten by a girl is all THAT bad. Now, your move!"
The woman smirked. Obviously, this young man knew how to keep his cool. She could tell he was slightly perturbed by his vocal jabs, but if he was able to focus this much she knew it'd be a duel to remember.
Hrm. Seems like he uses a Spellcaster deck, though that can't be all there is to it. I wonder what the two face-down cards are. A 1900 attacker isn't a bad start, but why would he need to play two cards to support it? Unless they aren't support for Breaker, but for something else… but what would that be? I won't know unless I take a looksie into his Graveyard… Though the card I had that could help me do that was thrown out when he played Card Destruction.
"Alright! MY turn! DRAW!"
Sherrin's LP: 4000
Anton's LP: 4000
The woman picked up her sixth card, and then played a card from her hand face-down in defense position.
"You're pretty confident, though I suppose you need that back-up plan in your two face-downs, right? Well, then how about… SPEEDER STORM! This card will blow away all your Spell and Trap cards, and give me one Speed Counter!"
Anton growled, his two face-down cards destroyed by the Speed Spell, and looked at his Breaker. Completely defenseless, with only 1900 ATK, and waiting to be killed by whatever effect the face-down monster Sherrin played had.
"To end the turn, I'll play a card face-down. Your move."
Anton's LP: 4000
Sherrin's LP: 4000
Great. A face-down card as well. Probably something to trick Breaker into using his effect. I can't over think this though. This "Sherrin" gal is pretty good… No. I have no choice if I want to escape. Remain calm, and power forward!
"Alright, my turn! DRAW!"
Alright! Just the card I wanted!
"Get ready, Sherrin! I'll activate this, my Double Spell spell card! Now, by discarding a Spell Card I can activate a Spell from YOUR Graveyard. And I think I'll choose… your Speeder Storm!"
A fierce gust whipped up, blowing away the woman's Spell/Trap card. Anton smiled, and pointed at her face-down monster.
"Alright, Breaker! Magical Dimension Slash!"
Breaker raised his sword and launched an energy blade at the opposing monster, cutting through the monster with ease. Unfortunately…
"Thank you, Anton. You just destroyed my Hat-Tricker. When its destroyed by battle I get to draw a card. If it's a Spell I can use it immediately! Here I go, DRAW!"
The female officer picked up her next card and glanced at it. A smile broke out on her face and she placed her card into her D-Wheel's Duel Disk.
"Tribute to the Doomed!"
Breaker was suddenly was wrapped in cloth and dragged down into oblivion, having been destroyed by the Spell card's effect. And even though Sherrin had to discard a card from her hand to do so, she was still in good position.
"My turn?"
Anton growled, and placed a card face-down, then nodded. He had no more cards in his hand, but hopefully his face-down card could change the tide of this duel. He was at a huge disadvantage right now, and he was sure Sherrin knew that as well.
Sherrin's LP: 4000
Anton's LP: 4000
"Draw!"
Sherring placed a card face-down, then summoned a card from her hand. Suddenly the monster known as D.D. Warrior Lady appeared on the field and raised her blade, readying herself to attack Anton.
"Go on, take a chunk out of his life points!"
The warrior lady charged, and unleashed a slash against Anton, whose life points dropped down to almost half instantly.
"Your turn, hun."
Anton's LP: 2500
Sherrin's LP: 4000
"My turn. Draw!"
Anton glanced at his card, and smiled.
Great. Just what I needed! However, my luck might not hold out… I'll just have to take my chances!
"First, I'll activate my Trap card. Jar of Greed! With this, I draw one more card."
Anton picked up another card and broke out into a grin as he looked at it. Now, all he needed was a little luck and the scales would be greatly tipped in his favor. He played his first card, hoping his potential combo would carry him through to victory.
"I'll activate Gambling Star! I shuffle my deck and draw two cards. If either is monster card, I discard both cards."
Anton's deck auto-shuffled and two cards slid out of the top. Anton closed his eyes and drew the cards. If his luck held out, he might be able to hold on a little longer!
Anton opened his eyes, praying he had gotten the cards he needed… and much to his surprise, he had! He played his first card, hoping that the woman had no traps set up to counter his next few moves.
"First, I'll play this Spell… Reinforcement of the Army! This lets me move a Warrior-type monster from my deck to my hand. I'll choose my Warrior of the Rune 'Pzi'! I'll then summon the card I just added to my hand! Come forth, Pzi!"
Anton slapped down his warrior monster, a rune appearing on the field then transforming into a tan-robed warrior wielding a glaive. Immediately afterward, the warrior's effect activated and several runes shot out from the warrior's weapon and caused Anton's deck to glow.
"When this guy is summoned out to the field I can move ANOTHER card from my deck to my hand. This time, I'll choose my third Warrior of the Rune, 'Kir'! Then, I'll activate my trump card… POLYMERIZATION! I'll fuse together 'Pzi' with the warriors in my hand, 'Kir' and 'El' to form the Warrior 'Kir-El Pzi'!"
As Anton's deck finished its shuffling from all the card-to-hand aftereffects the Polymerization Spell card worked its magic and fused together the three monsters, forming Anton's trump card. As the armored, master-warrior appeared out on the field a Spell card shot out from Anton's Graveyard and was quickly swiped out of the air by its owner. As Anton spun his D-Wheel around to face the female officer chasing him he smirked.
"Now, my warrior's special ability activates. When it's Fusion Summoned I can remove one Spell card from my Graveyard…"
D.D. Warrior Lady suddenly burst into flames and exploded, having been sent to the Graveyard… leaving Sherrin's field wide open.
"… and destroy one card on your side of the field. Now, its MY turn to unleash some hurt! 2900 points of it, in fact! My master warrior will attack you directly! BURST AXEL!"
The warrior pointed his weapon at the officer and unleashed a sonic wave of brilliant, white energy that struck the officer and caused her vehicle to shudder a little. As her life points dropped to less than half, she smiled. This duel was finally getting interesting. Maybe this opponent was worth the trouble she had gone through to get here after all.
"You look pretty happy, Sherrin… Well, it's your turn."
