The Fire Temple...
"Hmm..."
Jazz had taken precautions to zig-zag this way and that on his way to the Fire Temple. He had even split up with his bike at one point (and, of course, thoroughly inspected it for tracking devices upon re-grouping) to throw potential hunters off his tail.
But he knew he wouldn't be fooling anyone for long. He had specifically told the guard at the Razortooth gates that he was headed here, and trouble would not be far behind him.
The man now stood at the top of the Fire Temple, his bike hovering over yonder just within his field of view from the top of the monument.
No hamming it up this time. Let's do this.
"Scan on."
As he spoke these words, he could catch sight of a faint, red beam emitting from the J-Rider. It had begun it's picture-scan of the temple, with Jazz perched atop. A small, green flash told him it had been done.
He placed two fingers to the rim of his shades, as if pressing a button there. Data from the scan was streamed to his shades for his approval.
"..."
All of a sudden he felt very tense, as if his body had noticed an enemy lurking nearby that his brain and eyes had yet to register. He knew better than to argue against his gut. His gut was pretty smart, if a tad paranoid.
The J-Rider suddenly bolted forward and up the tall stairs, then turned on a dime, and shot away from the temple as if it had been fired from a cannon, into the sky. Jazz dove off the rooftop and fired a ZipLine over to it, catching it by the back and reeling himself in. He passed underneath it at first, but circled up in front of it, and finally landed himself in the driver's seat as the cycle landed over the top of a nearby cliff and sped off into the forest.
And just in the nick of time, too. As he dared another glance over his shoulder, he could see that several monsters and creatures had clambered on to the temple's roof to join him, only now noticing they were too late. He didn't have time to play today.
He had to avoid fighting wherever possible.
(In and out!)
