Ryo was quick to follow. "Hold on. I can just-" He then fell over backwards. His arm was clamped to the wall.
You can just stay put.
"Knock it off! He needs help!"
Oh? Not playing the unarmed hostage card anymore?
"That's not the point!"
It IS the point. He can handle himself. If they get a good hit in you'll die.

Armor was a handy thing in situations like this, although, during the brawl it showed that Regul more used his blade for defense rather than offense, preferring to instead throw punches and kicks. He defended himself rather well, but the sheer force of numbers began to get the best of him after awhile. 'Damn... I can't let them harm that man.' he thought, his mind in a rush.
"Well well, running out of steam already?" the leader taunted. "Now you get to see what happens to heroes who try to show up in these parts. In Rogueport, all that matters is the reward, get me?" But then, a sudden slicing wind swept through the air.
"I can see that." There was a new voice from above. Another man, clad in blue armor and much less concealing, descended down from above, a confident smirk on his face.
"Seems the Yellow Tiger Gang doesn't like it when you guys invade their turf. I'm here to fix that."

Still feel like jumping in?
"Yeah! I do!"
There's just no getting through to you, is there? Why are you so compelled to serve people who wouldn't even grant you a proper suit of armor?
"Because they trust in my skill!" Even Ryo was dumbfounded when he realized what he had said. "That... Uh..."
...They didn't even give you a real weapon.
"That was an accident. I must have grabbed the wrong one somehow."
For your sake, I hope that's true.

"I don't know who you are but... thanks." For his gratitude, all Regul got was a small laugh. The man in blue turned to him. "Don't thank me. Really. I'm not here out of heroics, just to do a job I've been paid to do." With that, the two go back to back and scanned what remained of the gang. Regul let out a sigh. "I managed to take a chunk of them out, but I still don't like these odds."
"You're right." the blue knight said. "It is a little unfair." And like that, he snatched Regul's' sword and shot it straight into the air. Regul was stunned. "There. Now it's fair." This new man cracked his knuckles through his gauntlets before bragging.
"Alright you chumps. Now you're about to see why they call me The Fighter!" And with that, both warriors rushed forth, working together to knock the rest of the gang unconscious.
"The Yellow Tigers say to take this as a warning. Next time it'll be your heads."

Ryo just sat there frowning. It was all well and good that the bandits were dealt with, but he didn't get to do a single thing!
Quit moping. At least you get to live.
"Great. I get to live attached to cursed jewelery that won't let me fight."
Big talk for an unarmed man.
"And all you can do is blind people. I'm supposed to be a soldier and I can't even pitch in to deal with rabble." But his self pity soon turned to annoyance. "And you know what's worse? I have the feeling you could have just created a weapon for me!"
Try not to scream too loudly. They'll think you're insane.
"You won't even deny it! Now let me go!" And so it did. Ryo got back to his feet and dragged himself over to the two. "Yeah... Regardless of the circumstances, I'd like to thank the two of you for your help. Though I wish I hadn't needed it."

Whatever the clearly insane man said, it didn't register with either of the knights he'd been addressing. "Oh, there's a third person here?" The blue one asked. "He ain't a bandit is he? I could go for one more punch out." Regul stopped him. "He's with me." The blue knight nodded, and Regul's' blade came down from the air above. "There ya go. Not like me to keep other people's' stuff."
"Well, see ya!" As he went to leave, he was once again stopped by the black knight. "Wait, you called yourself The Fighter earlier, right? I have some business with you, actually." The man turned, still with his lighthearted expression. "Really now? If you need me for a job you'll have to wait until I get paid for the one I just finished."
"No, nothing like that. I just need some information you might be able to help me out with." Regul didn't get a response right away, the man seemingly lost in thought for a few seconds. "Well alright." he finally answered. "Come by the Guild called Fighting Calibur later. I'll give you and your friend there whatever intel you need. Now if you'll excuse me..." And like that, he was gone.

That was weird. Oh well. It was as good a time to ask questions as any. "Do you know this guy? Can you trust him?" And how did he know I needed information?
He didn't. He just lumped you in with the tin man.
"Stay out of my thoughts!" And he was back to yelling at the bracelet.

"I can see I made the right decision afterall." The 'tin man' went and grabbed his sword, sheathing it. "Well, to answer your question, I don't know who that guy is. All I know is that, according to the leader he helped me knock out, he might have a way to get me some information I want. There are informants all around Rogueport, he could be one of them."
The soldier turned to the hostage. "Well, you're free now. Might I suggest that you leave, again? If it's information you want, you won't find any here." The armored man scanned around for an exit. There appeared to be one down a nearby hallway. "Ah, here we are. Now then, I'll be leaving for that man's' Guild. Never heard of one being registered here of all places."

"Not like there's anything to be gained here now." He then scratched his chin in deep thought. And then something brilliant struck him. "Say, I've got an idea. How about I tag along until you get to that 'guild' place? I'd ask for directions, but I'd probably forget and end up getting myself lost."

"I suppose there wouldn't be any harm in it. Might even be able to get you a sword so you can actually defend yourself."

"Sword?" His eyes lit up and a rather disturbing smile worked it's way onto his face. "You're the second friend I've ever had! You know, after the bandits. Then again, they're not really my friends if they want to hurt me... So I guess you're it!"
You are a very sad, strang little man.

"Don't get too comfortable. Once I get what I came for, I'm leaving this hellhole of a town." And with that, the two left the warehouse they were in, eventually finding the building belonging to the Fighting Calibur guild. Seemed rather run down. Inside, the man from earlier could been seen lounging around. "Hey, you two made it afterall."
The inside seemed more like a living room rather than an office. Surprisingly, the slow ceiling fans did a decent job at keeping the temperature bearable. "Now then strangers, what can I do you for? Take a seat." he pointed to a nearby couch. "It ain't much, but I make of it what I can. I'm X by the way. You two are?" "Regul."

"I'm Ryo." Sparing no time, he ran over to the couch and sat on the floor in front of it.

"Well then kiddies, what can I do you for?" X seemed like a nice enough guy. Still, Regul's' matters were more... private. "Let Ryo go first. I think he's got urgent matters."

"Not urgent, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get this over with. See this?" He held the bracelet up. "Do you know what this is? If not, do you know anybody who would?"
