Jazz is best described as a man of average height, lean but fit, and lightly tanned, peach-skin. Dark brown eyes and matching hair, which is long in the back and braided into a ponytail for no particular reason. He dresses only in formal attire, a pitch-black tuxedo jacket over a plain-white dress shirt, and matching black slacks. Black shoes and black, leather gloves complete the secret agent ensemble alongside his trusty pair of designer shades.
~Personality~
No professional, robotic CIA-operative, Jazz is as cool and outgoing as a professional could be expected. He likes to laugh and tell jokes, and flirt with the ladies, but also manages to maintain an air of dignity and professionalism with both his mannerisms and posture. Jazz has never once been witnessed as losing his temper, or even making a face that symbolized any negative emotion beyond slight frustration or worry. Jazz claims this is because he ALWAYS keeps a cool head, but others prefer to speculate that coaxing his anger leads to dire consequences.
[li]Compu Shades - Jazz's sunglasses allow him to access his personal computer stored in his bike. They act as a communication device, allowing him to tap into any signal that isn't blocked, and can even be used as a camera, pair of binoculars, or photo/video/audio recording device.
[/li][li]J-Rider - A hover-cycle with an on-board computer capable of tracking Jazz's location and following remote commands from it's owner. It's constructed of an incredibly durable material that is capable withstanding a great deal of punishment. In a pinch, the J-Rider can transform into a protective armor for Jazz. Jazz usually carries extras of all his weapons and tools in here, and the CPU for his personal compy is built into it.
[/li][li]Burst Magnums - A pair of large pistols hidden in Jazz's coat. They fire non-lethal, light-blue, concussive energy rounds meant to bruise and batter foes rather than pierce and kill, although Jazz can use the Plasma setting, which is potentially lethal as it does pierce with a vicious-looking, red energy-bullet. The guns can be charged to fire shots of significantly stronger power. Each shot must be charged individually for a maximum of 400% power.
[/li][li]Iron Threads - Threads not LITERALLY made of iron. The name just stuck due to aesthetic scoring. Still, they are made of an impressively durable alloy and have tiny, rocket-propelled hooks at the end. Jazz uses these lines to grapple foes and obstacles alike, and of course... to pull Spider-Man-esque feats of agility.
[/li][li]Force Defensors - A special device that looks like the grip of a pistol or blade. It reads the mind of it's wielder and generates a "Limited Energy Field" in the shape of whatever weapon or tool the holder desires. The energy acts solid to both energy and solids alike. It can only generate enough energy to create small to medium sized weapons. It couldn't, say, create a giant sword as large as an average man (Unless two Defensors were combined).
[/li][li]Smart Bombs - An innumerable supply of special explosives. The Smart Bomb is one of Jazz's favorite tools, and they have various settings. They can be set to explode on contact, or by sensing the proximity of targets nearby, or even on a timer. They can be set to stick against walls, explode with specific elemental powers (like fire, electricity), and even some that do things other than explode (blinding flashes, deafening sound blasts, cutting circular holes into surfaces). They are quite literally the swiss army knife of explosives.[/li][/ul]
[li]Combat Training - Jazz can jump and flip and punch and kick with the best of them. It's cliche', but if he cared whether or not you thought it was cliche', he probably wouldn't be doing it would he?
[/li][li]Hyper Perception - A special mental ability that makes Jazz's combat skills all the deadlier. Jazz can enhance his perception of time, making everything else appear to move in slow motion, and giving him a great deal more time to contemplate his current situation and possible reactions. This does NOT mean he can slow down time. It just means he can think faster than you. Literally.
[/li][li]Pheromone Dust - Jazz doesn't realize it, but his very skin contains traces of pheromones which can trigger certain responses in those receptive to the scent. It's effects are most apparent when he's 'charming' the ladies. Not that he isn't charming, but he certainly isn't doing it all on his own. It's a fortunate (and sometimes UNfortunate) result of the same mutation that caused his Hyper Perception.
[/li][li]Jazz Strider - In a pinch, Jazz can call on his trusty J-Rider to turn into a powerful armor for him. The armor boosts his physical capabilities dramatically, allowing for more fantastic feats of strength and agility. Ex: He could pry a small vault door open with his bare hands. Michael was once a model soldier for a defense/peace-keeping force known as "SENTINEL". He'd grown up in the slums and backalleys where crime and violence had taken away nearly all his family, save for his younger brother Gabriel. Michael vowed not to lose his last remaining family, and joined SENTINEL to fight against crime on his behalf, and on behalf of all others who suffered the way they had. He'd proven himself one of SENTINEL's top soldiers, and eventually was drafted into an elite, covert-ops department, where he learned to use more stealthy, scout-like tactics.
It wasn't until later that SENTINEL began to change. It's higher-ups began to see themselves as the absolute law of the land, and began to envision themselves absolutely in charge. They faded into the shadows of the city they once sought to protect, and became like puppet-masters, pulling the strings from their hidden fortress and bringing death to those that didn't fit into their plans. At first, Michael followed begrudgingly, hoping he could eventually take charge of SENTINEL and change everything back. But one day, they ordered the assassination of the woman he loved, and Michael snapped.
With what few allies were willing to follow him, Michael (now going by "Jazz") declared war on SENTINEL. A seemingly hopeless coup of a few gifted soldiers versus the entire elite militia of SENTINEL. After a long, drawn-out battle of guerrilla and spy tactics, Jazz and company managed to infiltrate the tower from within, and hunt down all of SENTINEL's most vital parts. While most of the group infiltrated the databases and destroyed all of SENTINEL's main operations and controls, Jazz and two allies confronted their nearly all-powerful leader, SENTINEL GRAY. After a long, drawn-out battle, SENTINEL GRAY was defeated. And with their leader gone, all operations destroyed, and information lost... SENTINEL was truely and absolutely defeated. What few allies remained afterward celebrated, and eventually went their separate ways.
Before she had been killed, the woman Jazz loved had written him a farewell letter. It revealed the reason she was killed, and something else she had been trying to do. With the threat of SENTINEL long gone, Jazz decided he would spend the rest of his days undertaking the enormous task of her last dream. No matter the cost...
