This thread is for an alphabetical listing of any elementals you can possibly encounter in Ymaggion. If you wish for this list to be expanded, go suggest a creature in the Creature Suggestion thread.
Elementals are the various artificial constructs and entities crafted from magical means. Elementals are generally born from the magicks cast by powerful wizards, manipulating earth or water into creatures that imitate life, used as guardians for their lairs, or protectors for them in battle. Elementals, however, can be born of any of the eight major elements, and can be crafted from other materials. Other elementals have appeared in the wild, possibly remnants of old wizards or created by the vast magical energies emanating from the Temples of Power themselves. These elementals have been observed creating their own kind, expanding into entire species themselves, despite their unnatural creation.

Colossus The Colossus is very much like a Golem, a gigantic construct animated through magic. Unlike Golems, which can be created from various materials ranging from clay to flesh, the Colossus is created entirely of metal. These constructs are much larger than a Giant, standing up to twenty feet in height, and weighing several tons. Colossi are usually found in cities and fortresses, created to defend high security buildings such as armories, prisons, vaults, and governmental structures. Due to their size and material, Colossi are extremely difficult to destroy and can easily kill sentients with a single blow. However, this also results in slow movements and nonexistent agility, forcing them to rely on their incredible physical defense to survive.

A Fire Demon is a being made mostly of flame, constructed to resemble a humanoid demon, similar to an Imp, a Balrog, or a Megademon in its appearance. These creatures can control flame to an incredible degree and are so sufficiently advanced in their construction that they have gained a form of sentience, allowing them to construct more of their kind. Fire Demons vary in size depending on their strength--stronger Fire Demons are larger than others, appearing taller and wider than a regular human being. Fire Demons can be found in most hot places, especially on the slopes of active volcanoes. However, they are most commonly found on the continent of Kouchi, especially near Mount Tenamon, within the Everfrost, and around the Burning City of Acera.

The Golem is the most common, most basic, and most prolific of Elementals, and is the basis for the construction of nearly all other Elementals in existence. Golems are constructs of mostly inorganic material infused with life and elemental energies. Golems are mostly made up of the basic elements, resulting in Earth-based Rock Golems, Water-based Water Golems, Wind- and Nature-based Wood Golems, Fire-based Flame Golems, and Ice-based Ice Golems. Other materials are known to have been used, such as metal, flesh, blood, and bone, resulting in unusual properties. Most Golems retain an immunity to all forms of magic, making them potent guardians against mages. Many golems have been seen out in the wild, left behind by mages to guard long-forgotten lairs and artifacts. Due to the nature of their studies, Necromancers have found that Golems are surprisingly easy for them to construct, whereas other mages may have a bit more difficulty creating them.

Ice Dragons are colossal magical constructs made of ice, designed to imitate the appearance of the gigantic dragons that populate the world of Ymaggion. Ice Dragons are roughly the same size as any of the five chromatic flights of dragons, and made out of ice, as if sculpted--the strength of the Ice Dragon is determined by this appearance. The weakest look like glassy, blocky creatures that vaguely resemble dragons. The appearance becomes more refined if the Ice Dragon is stronger, the strongest looking like rather majestic draconic creatures with varying hues created by the sheen of their ice. Such Ice Dragons have been known to be mistaken for White Dragons. Ice Dragons are capable of breathing a frigid, icy breath capable of freezing things solid, and are particularly susceptible to fire. Ice Dragons are commonly attacked by actual dragons, who seem to regard them as abominations. Due to their origins, Ice Dragons are commonly found in extremely cold regions, such as Cyra, the Everfrost, and the lands beyond the Great Wall.

Lightning Hawks are an unusual breed of flying elementals, gigantic avians made up of massive amounts of electricity. Lightning Hawks are vicious, aggressive creatures, and take on the form of a torrent of lightning held within an invisible container that is shaped like a bird of prey, with glaring lights representing their eyes. They are capable of blasting down lightning from their wings and beak, and capable of high speed movement due to their nature. They can be of tremendous size depending on their strength, with the strongest of them known to have thirty-foot wingspans. They are most commonly found in Kemei, roosting in the Heights or hunting in the Desert Wastes, where they are commonly seen fighting territorial Red Dragons. Such displays are considered incredible sights to behold, as such battles create massive sheets of glass across the dunes in their wake. Lightning Hawks fear open water, as dragging one into water is fatal to them, disrupting their forms and electrifying a large expanse of it.

Shadow Creatures are an unusual strain of Elemental, having been created from darkness and shadow, rather than more common Anima elements or corporeal materials such as metal. Unlike Fire Demons, Shadow Creatures can appear in a variety of animal forms, some of them humanoid in shape with animal attributes, such as drakes and impalas. Shadow Creatures are capable of focusing dark energies into coherent beams and blasts, and have the ability to transport themselves via natural shadows. Though they have always had that ability, no one is sure how they are capable of this feat. Wild Shadow Creatures are mostly found in Allondell, usually at night. They are naturally weak to light energies, but are known to extremely difficult to attack with such methods.
