Oh man, it was chaos! Absolute anarchy! The soldier everyone was proud to have had returned home. There'd be rioting in the streets! Men, women, children, all were running about! And what was the cause of all the mayhem?
One woman the place always had to put up with, obviously. Krystal had finished her mission, holding her helmet and blade beside her. Still angry at the entire affair, she basically tore apart whatever part of the place bothered to get in her way.
But it wasn't fair to say her mission was done just yet. She still had to report in on all that happened, meaning a nice chat with her older sister. Provided she was home, atleast. She didn't even care for stealth this time, simply storming up toward the room as fast as possible.

Raijin and Fujin quickly scrambled out of Krystal's way, eager to get out of the warpath. It was only too soon since the last time they'd seen the younger Sharidan girl cause such a ruckus.
"What's her problem?" the woman demanded, straightening her clothing as Krystal rounded the corner.
The man shrugged. "Maybe it's that time of the month--ow!" he rubbed at his arm where his companion had slugged him.
It wasn't long before the girl reached her elder sister's office--as before, there was a new chair, identical to the one that had been smashed. The thick oak door was also closed shut, and as the woman neared it, she heard Kayt's voice issue out from it, somewhat muffled.
"Come in, Krystal," she said. "Try not to smash the chair this time, and do calm down."

"CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!?" by now Krys had barged in and was practically yelling whenever she spoke. She did her best to calm down, but it didn't help much. The agent slammed the helmet and the sword on her sister's' desk, and without even a cue began to report what had all happened at the Bandit Camp. Everything.
How she'd saved Joe, who in turn saved Laramie and Dara. How they'd managed to get through with minor casualties. And then the most infuriating part of the tale for her, how two Valtheran soldiers came from nowhere and killed practically everything before taking Laramie with them. Overall, Krystal was looking for answers, feeling betrayed, among other things.

"Krystal. Krystal! Slow down!" Kayt exclaimed at her infuriated sister. "I can't understand you when you speak a mile a minute!"
As schooled as she kept her expression, Kayt felt rather alarmed at Krystal's visible rage. She was brash, excitable, somewhat lucky and almost certifiably insane at times, but the worst she'd ever done was throw a tantrum when she didn't get her way as a child.
Until now, at least.
"What's this about Valtheran soldiers intervening?" she asked, hoping Krystal had gotten most of her anger vented.

After a few deep breathes, the tempered woman finally managed to get herself under control a little bit. "There was an elf there, and with him, some weird little creature that could talk." She put her hand to her head, doing her best to recall what'd happened. "One of the soldiers I rescued, Joe, he seemed to know 'em. I was ready to pound 'em too until he held me back."
"I think the elf's' name was Francis. His partner? Bob or something." No matter how she tried, even with some volume control, Krys couldn't stand still throughout the talking. "They killed everyone! Then they took that Laramie girl away."
And now, she was ready to explode. "WHY WERE THEY THERE ANYWAY!? I WAS HANDLING THE MISSION JUST FINE UNTIL THEY SHOWED UP!"
It was about this point she was ready to harm whoever had sent them out.

Kayt conjured up a holographic screen, accessing a secure database. Logging in, she input her clearance and watched as the screen shifted in its visible light spectrum--on the other side, the text across the entire screen distorted into something resembling random gibberish before Krystal's eyes.
The elder sister scrolled through the database, opening up search parameters and making adjustments before finally arriving at the information she wanted.
"Francis Larent and Bob Rasven..."
With a wave of her hand, two more windows appeared, facing Krystal. Each bore the image of the two people Krystal, Joe, Laramie, and Dara had encountered outside of the mine.
"These are the two you met, are they not?" Kayt asked.

"Yes. Mind telling me all you can." Intent to harm was clear. "Let's just say the two don't have a favorable reputation." The girl swatted a screen away when it wandered too close to her, not that it did too much to the screen itself. These things were always best left to Kayt. Too much reading and Krys's' head started to hurt.

Kayt was silent for several minutes, absorbing the information before her and figuring out how much Krystal was safe to hear. "While Operative Nim is undoubtedly skilled at his line of work, he is overall unimportant in the scheme of things," she murmured. "Doesn't make sense to send personnel of this level out as reinforcement, even given the situation."
She looked up, seeing the strained patience in her younger sister's eyes. "I won't lie to you, Krystal. I know what you're feeling, but you'll have to forego that line of thought," she warned. "Larent and Rasven are both Dark Ops personnel attached to Task Force Shadow Wolf. These are the last kind of people you want to mess with--Nim has every reason to be wary of them, and you should too. Dealing with General Winter's men is far out of your league."

"I can't just stand by and do nothing!" she cried, slamming her fists on the desk. "Isn't there anything!? I'll go storming up there right now if I have to!" It was apparent that Krys was only hearing most of what her sister had to say.

"There is nothing you can do," Kayt responded. "Your clearance and your rank are far too low to allow you even in the same building as General Winter."
Kayt opened up another screen, scanning and memorizing some information before nodding to herself. "I, however, have no such restrictions," she replied. "I will talk it over with your superior, and we'll see what can be done about Winter. The man's a loose cannon anyway, and needs to be dealt with."
Though we'll see how things get if Rasven decides to step in, the advisor though grimly. She had no illusions that that creature could and would tear her to shreds if she so much as looked at him wrong.

"Gah..." She finally sat down, mulling over what to do. "It just doesn't feel right." This solution seemed too slow for her. "How long is this all gonna take?" What Kayt was saying did have some points to it. Krystal's' liberties with her allies only stretched so far, afterall. Still, it felt as though now was the time for action, not words.

"Not too long," she replied. "There's no important functions coming up, and I've already discussed the mission with the royal family, so I have no pressing matters to deal with.
"What Winters did... sending his men out to Stamaria like that... it's too reckless," Kayt explained. "And then endangering the very rescue mission to deal with the mess he started... that's going too far. He's lucky he didn't start the war he's so damned afraid of."

Any normal person would ask what Kayt meant by all that.
Krystal was not one of those people. "It was totally uncalled for!" The woman let out a deep sigh. "Just make sure I get to take care of 'em, alright sis?"
It was at this point her eye wandered back to the helmet and blade she'd slammed down earlier. "Oh yeah... I brought you some souvenirs."

"I noticed," Kayt remarked, eying the gear thoughtfully. "To be honest, I half expected you to have found some way of losing the sword during your mission. Perhaps Mother is right and you are maturing."

This happened. Then there was a great laugh. "She was always the funny one. I actually forgot to toss it into a lake on the way back. How has mother been anyway?" These were the simpler times of the job, and considering how yelling was no longer happening, the folks outside began to believe their troubles had died down for now... as they cleaned up Krys's' mess.
